Strikið Restaurant

Strikið restaurant was opened on the 22nd of December in 2005. It is located on the top floor at Skipagata 14, Akureyri.

There are two dining halls on Strikið and the view from both of them is magnificent as you look over the pond and out to the mountains. The view is our specialty along with professional work methods in both food and service. Another part of our facility is located outside with room for up to 100 diners. It is simply a unique experience on a beautiful summer day or a bright northern evening to enjoy our fine cuisine and beverages.

Leifur Welding designed Strikið along with the owners and helped shape the atmosphere of Strikið which is both light and refined. Professionalism in food and drink is paramount and is managed by Loga Helgason, Head Chef, and Restaurant Manager, Alexander Magnússon, Head Chef.

North dining room

Is one of two a’la carte dining rooms and is also suitable for larger groups or other special occasions.

The North dining room seats 40-60 diners, send an inquiry to strikid@strikid.is for your group!

Balcony

Our balcony has room for up to 100 diners. It is simply a unique experience on a beautiful summer day or a bright northern evening to enjoy our fine cuisine and beverages. The atmosphere in the summer can get magical.
